About WebComicForge

A Creative Path to Mastery

WebComicForge embraces a learning philosophy of ‘learn by doing, edit and share’. We organize our system around developing practical skills through structured exercises, feedback and peer-to-peer learning so everything you do seems meaningful. We aren’t interested in absorption of information as much as enabling you to practice making things that you can refine over time to build confidence by creating real work.

Crafting Stories That Stick

Our courses are designed to guide the learner through getting the pacing and tone of their comics right, learning to place panels, write dialogue, etc.

Visual Skills Built with Intention

We believe drawing is a skill that can be taught, that there’s a formula for laying out panels and designing characters. We try to present our lessons as a set of steps that a learner can follow to get the results.

A Community Built for Growth

The system is designed around giving and receiving constructive feedback on your work. That interaction is between peers.

  • I really liked that the system helped me organize my thoughts into a real storyline and that I got actionable feedback that helped me understand how to refine it each time.
